MUSEUM PASS PROGRAM

    What Museums Are Available?

  • Brooklyn Botanic Gardens (Brooklyn, NY)
  • Children's Museum of Manhattan (New York, NY)
  • Cradle of Aviation (Garden City, NY)
  • Long Island Children’s Museum (Garden City, NY)
  • Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum of NY
    (New York, NY)
  • Suffolk County Vanderbilt Museum (Centerport, NY)
  • USS Intrepid Sea, Air, & Space Museum(New York City)

    How Many People Are Admitted with One Pass?
  • Brooklyn Botanic Garden -- 2 adults, unlimited number of children under 16 years of age
  • Children's Museum of Manhattan - Each pass admits up to 4 people
  • Cradle of Aviation – 2 adults, 2 children who are 18 years and younger
  • Long Island Children’s Museum – 2 adults, 2 children
  • Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum of NY - Each pass admits up to five individuals
  • Suffolk County Vanderbilt Museum – 2 adults, 4 children under 18 years of age
  • USS Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum – 6 people


  • Call the museum directly for information on hours of operation, parking and/or directions.

    Bring your library card with you. You may be asked to show it.



    What Are the Requirements for Borrowing a Pass?
  • Borrower must be a Lindenhurst Memorial Library adult cardholder in good standing, 18 years of age and older.
  • A Museum Pass User Agreement must be signed each time a pass is borrowed.

  • What Are the Limits When Borrowing a Pass?
  • A pass for a specific museum can be borrowed only once every three months.
  • No more than one pass may be borrowed at a time.
  • No more than two passes can be booked per month.
  • Two “no shows” within a 60-day block of time will block users from making a reservation.

  • How Do You Reserve a Pass?
  • Made at the Adult Reference Desk, in person, by phone, or online.
  • Can be made up to two months in advance.


  • How Do You Pick Up and Return a Pass?
  • Length of borrowing period is three days.
  • Pass is picked up at the Circulation Desk at opening. This is Day #1 of your three day reservation.
  • Pass is returned to the Circulation Desk by one hour before closing time on the third day.
  • You may use the pass more than once as long as it is returned on the third day.
  • Do not return the pass in the book drop.


  • What Fees Are Attached When You Don’t Return the Pass on Time?
  • $10 per day late fee, will be attached to your record.
  • Lost pass fee is whatever the individual museum charges for replacement, attached to patron record.
  • When a pass isn’t returned on time, requiring the library to pay entry fees for the next patron with a reservation, the late patron will have these entrance fees attached to his/her record.
