MoonDream Big Dreams! Summer Reading Club
Pick up your Reading Club folder starting June 18 in the Children’s Room of the library. Then come in once a week to receive prizes for reading. After 4 visits, you may enter a raffle for bigger prizes. Prizes will be at the Adult Reference Desk.

Join a knowledgeable teacher from Sharper Training Solutions, Inc. for this two session workshop. This program is an introduction to the basics of video game creation. Learn how to design a video game and write a program. You will construct rooms and doorways, add a player, objects, textures, colors, lighting and more. Participants will compile the finished program and learn how to make changes and correct errors. For intermediate and advanced computer users.

Find out all you need to know to be a great babysitter! An educator from Cornell Cooperative Extension will discuss the developmental stages of children, what to do in a crisis, safety issues and more. Join instructor Susan Sears and transform a cup, pens and a motor into a vibrobot. Learn about circuits, build your own robot and use it to produce robot art. There will be a  Vibrobot Olympics.

Library PodcastLibrary Podcasts

Kids and Teens through 12th grade

 

We are looking to recruit some talented people who would be interested in doing a podcast in our recording studio. You could read a poem
or a short story that you have composed, or review a book, dvd, or cd.
Please contact Cheryl at 957-7755 to set up a date and time for your recording session.
1 hour of community service credit will be given for each recording session with a maximum of 3 hours of community service credit.

5th Grade & Up.

Need community service? Like to have your opinion heard? Earn 1 hour of community service credit by recommending books, music, and games to others. Forms & further instructions are located in the children's room. Reviews may be posted on our teen blog or in our newsletter. You may also record your review for our Podcast Project for additional community service credit.

 

Limit: 3 hours per student, per school year.
